The Taj Mahal, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the most iconic monuments in the world. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is a symbol of eternal love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Inside the mausoleum lies the cenotaph of Mumtaz Mahal, with Shah Jahan’s tomb placed beside it after his death. The actual graves of the emperor and his queen are located in a chamber below the main floor, in accordance with Islamic tradition.
